"Being Catholic, we wanted a school that would teach the Catholic faith and shape our son into a person who is kind and respectful, with a strong character and excellent academics."
The Palmer Family
It was March 22, 2019, when my husband heard that he was chosen to move to Colorado Springs, Colorado, for a four-year posting. There were definitely mixed emotions about the great adventure; however, our family has always trusted God and we truly believed this was going to be a great opportunity!
During our house-hunting trip, there were many things that we needed to accomplish in one week’s time. Even though one of our priorities was to find a house that was suitable for our life style, finding our son the right school was no easy task. Being Catholic, we wanted a school that would teach the Catholic faith and shape our son into a person who is kind and respectful, with a strong character and excellent academics. After web searching, praying and pondering the right school, we finally found St. Peter Catholic School. So, we made an appointment with Mrs. Sheila Whalen who went over the curriculum and gave us a tour of the school. After leaving the appointment, our family felt a great sense of peace; we knew this was the right school, a place where our son would excel academically, grow in his faith and be in an environment that was safe, nurturing and scholastically sound.
Coming from another country, we knew that the United States and Colorado itself would be a large change for our son and his academics. Not only did St. Peter School understand this and welcome us into its family, the teachers worked with us as our son adapted to the new academic program. The school’s community is warm and welcoming, and the security is fantastic with an exceptionally organized drop-off and pick-up practice.
We couldn’t ask for more. St. Peter Catholic School has surpassed our expectations; when your child has a smile on his face at the end of the day, that speaks volumes about St. Peter.
